watercolor 22x30 2009 (Award Winner) In this piece, I am merging iconic female images from the East and Wild West. The pomegranate is a symbol of compassion which she offers to inspire understanding. The peony design in the background is a symbol of prosperity. The cherry blossoms symbolize sweetness of character from good works. I think the combination of characteristics from different cultures is a good metaphor for how the Body of Christ is composed. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
