Illustration, especially from fairy tales, has attracted me since childhood. The Art Nouveau posters from the turn of the last century gave my love some legitimacy. Alphonse Mucha is a strong influence in my work and it can be seen very clearly in these paintings. Somewhat romantic and storybook, they still have a message and I hope you will look at illustration in a new way. Look for this work in prints, and note cards. |
